Searching interpreter:

Is one of the artistic activities on the berchmans week, in which the clubs have to sing a song and play the instruments that are on the song that they choose. They have to wear wardrobe and things that represent the song. This isn’t like fonomimic: the clubs don’t have to dance or to pretend sing, they have to sing and to do the music of the song. The judges qualify the wardrobe and the intonation of the singer. It doesn’t matter if the voice is similar to the real singer or not. The best voice and band wins the activity, the clubs can collaborate with the songs singing the chorus or moving their hands, side to side, making the singers confortable with the public. They have to give their best to win this difficult activity, because is difficult to find persons that know how to sing and to play and instrument, select a easy song doesn’t help, because the clubs prefer difficult song, like ballads, that only have one instrument and is more musical than singed.

The clubs prefer difficult things to win a high position on scores, to have more points and to be closer to the price. The instruments have to be coordinate with the singer and the singer has to know all the song that they are going to sing, because if they forget a part of the song, the judges wouldn`t like that, and you will have a low position in the competition.

Students reaction and behavior:

Students reaction and behavior: It is the most awaited week, which the students join, not only between the lounges, but between the different degrees of the college, the better of this week is that it can work coexist and be with new people in the different activities that develop in the week Berchmans. In which different activities of all kinds can be practiced as them it are sports, academic, intellectual, and of different types in which the students will be able to expel his pre knowledge and test them. The students reaction in the week is good because integration help so much but the pressure of the week and anxiety to win by students causing it fights between students and jurors and sometimes students in a team fights with other team this is not normally but in this moments the students not think about the consequences for fighting but after the pressure accepts the mistakes and take the corresponding consequences. But in general students doesn’t matter the other teams only their points or something like that but all students concentrate only in win the Berchmans week. In the first week anyone can see in the students a nerves, anxiety for how it will be this week's exciting, boring, but most think it will be even better but all agree that they have the same concern ... who won? Why ? How much points ? Etc. The rules is obligatory in this week because if the students don’t have rules the most of the teams are disqualified or have a bad information 

Berchmans Week and sports benefits

Berchmans week and Sports on Berchmans school are one of the main reasons why people decide to enroll their kids on this school, and lets the school to form the personality and integrity of their children, because trough this activities that the school realizes the people outside can  notice that Berchmans give us an integral formation as humans that live in society and want us to develop each sense in a different way, because every day we notice that other schools propose to teach but in the traditional way, and for students it turns boring, so that is why school teach us using an alternative method that in last years demonstrate us that is effective.

On berchmans week, many people external of school comes and pay attention to all the activities that we realize, in each activity the school shows the formation that is giving to all the students and the people understand why school do each activity and what is the objective to reach with each one, and many teenagers decide to change to this school because they like school’s plan and remember that the school stage is an important part of every human.  So Berchmans week is one of the activities that give more publicity to the school.

The school offers a integral training for children and teenagers, which is not only based on academic topics, also in sports and the arts that are fundamental for the life of any human being to have a proper training.                                                                  By: Laura Corrales.

Disagreements with the judges!

Some students say there are some problems with the decision of the judges, because your opinion does not match the "true". A lot of students complain that the love they have for this activity and commitment can get the feeling that all that did are of no use, but in this school we used to show the courage to accept the things that can happen in everyday life, for the qualification of the judges is what counts so I must accept it is not the most just, you can have your opinion but save it for you for commenting about it can cause major damage in the results (in this case). If you have a problem with the results you do not have to attack judges whether oral or physical forms because they also are people and feel you have to talk to them and express your opinion of an easy. Remember that the berchman’s weeks are for have fun and integrate as a school so don’t lose your time in things that can give you a punishment from which you will regret later, only have fun and give all that you can do but in a good way in a way that you can feel fine and said “we don’t win, but I give the best of me “. Thing it, cause in a time, the berchman’s week could ceasing to exist cause generates a lot of problems, in our convivencia an in our school.

One of the berchman’s week art activities is phonomimic. It represents many points and the four clubs try hard to win it. This year, they said to all the clubs the phonomimic could be without points, but the people that agree with that were less than the people that not agree so, they decide to remove this option. This year, the people decide 9^th students to 11^th students can participate in the activity

The clubs do their best to improve their points to that day. The phonomimic is in the Wednesday of the week. The clubs leaders are part of the big group of phonomimic, because they have to organize everything on it. If you want to win this activity you have to try hard, be very creative, and of course, know how to dance. But the competition isn`t easy, all clubs contract a choreographer and the participants have to be coordinate.

One of all this big groups have to make an interpretation of the singer of the song (Dress like it, move the mouth like as if he/she is singing, etc). The person(s) that do it need to know all the song, dance and move like if he/she is in a concert and dance coordinate with the entire group. In some cases, the groups dance two songs, or in the first represent a situation, when the second one sounds.

In berchman`s week this 2011 we could see that the groups worked hard in scenery, choreography, wardrobe and other few things. These are the videos of the berchman`s week 2011:  

Dance Marathon and Festival Performers in the Berchmans week have many activities that the students who want participate do. All these activities are Dance marathon and Festival performers. These activities they serve to get points and help to the team win In dance marathon the students who want participate dance with other pair from the same group for example, color red with color red, color blue with color blue, color black with color black, etc. When the students do this activity their classmates accompany the students who participate, the other that not participate encourage the students who participate. This activity help all the students to integrate more with other grades, the students who are more happy are in 11 grade because is the last week that stay en Berchmans.

Before start the dance marathon we need to take into account that the students that want participate have to be good and like dancing, if the students who participate and don’t like dance, this pair Probably extract it rapidly of the contest for not being able to do it and they were taking points from his team, It is bad because the most important idea is that win the team that have more points than the others groups. While he lasts the aid is removing to the pairs that less know to dance, causing so they clear points to them. Despite go out to the contest the students continue to enjoy the activities and with the classmates support team and be happy

JUDGE IMPARTIALITY AND EQUALITY ON BERCHMANS WEEK...

On Berchmans week some teachers, directives and professionals are selected to be the judges of activities depending of the topic and the facts to evaluate in each one; those judges are not part of any club and wear a different color t-shirt. The objective of the school with that is to be equal in all the decisions that are going to be accorded, and to let no space for bad interpretations of judge´s expression. The facts that the judges evaluate are not the same in all activities, but in common they have that in all activities they are always attentive about the relation between the clubs, and the relation that has been established between the different members of the same club, because the health treat and the good relationships are one of the most important attitudes that all students need to develop those 4 days, to learn for their whole life. School give us the example of a society in which we can make relationships, communicate, express, learn, teach, show our talents and be prepared to confront an adult life, to make us better people to serve and be useful to our society, our world. On Berchmans week, each activity have points and the points depend of the activity and the position of the club; all of this points are added to the other points earned and the judges are the persons who says at the fourth day (the end of Berchmans week) which group is the winner and the positions and number of points of each group.
